Remember
We went to West Wardsboro, Vermont today to my sister-in-law's memorial gathering, which was held in the backyard at her home. Her husband and children had placed favorite photos of her in the beautiful gardens, encouraging us to walk around the property and quietly experience these images. It was a wonderful way for everyone to connect with her. She loved her gardens, and had special nooks tucked away here and there. The shiny gray Vermont granite benches and cairns invited us to linger in the spots where she sat and meditated every day. It was a deeply personal and unique event. Peace to you, Norma Hamelman. You were loved.
