Pawn
For the non chess players, this is the pawn. The least of the pieces inthe game of chess. Still a striking photo though.
I liked the color but the black and white had a more dramatic affect. Had one of the best games of chess I have ever played today. Was so much fun!! Wes kicked my butt, I made one mistake that lead to another then I played well until there was nothing I could do. He was calculated. Very good game.
I am so behind on my homework. So much to do and so tired, worried about work tomorrow. Made a political mistake at work, stepped on someones toes and could lose my job. Sigh. Oh life..
Went running at the gym tonight and messed up my foot pretty good. I tweaked it on Thursday and then tonight I landed on it on the outside compensated rotated in and pulled/tore all the muscles from the upper right side to the big toe. Its my right foot. I kept running thinking it would work itself out, then I got off the treadmill and almost fell over. Needless to say I will be taking a sabatical from running. I promised.
I had a conversation with Kathy tonight about pain and it got me thinking. Pain is something I am so used to that it numbs me at times. Is it a bad thing? Sometimes. But there are other times I find it a guilty pleasure, it pushes me harder. I know, most people would say thats a bad thing, but I am still moving into that kingdom. You know, the one of the new order. There is this divine paradox, one of the kingdom we live in the 'old order' of things and one day all of this, Pain, tears goodbyes, all of it will be gone. WHy? Because the day the cross happened was the day evil lost, it choked on its own venom. D- Day so to speak, but we are still fighting for V-day. I love Revelation 21:4 "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
No more tears, no more pain. No more mourning... what will that be like?
