I was cleaning my garage today when I came across this rather large lifeless moth in still perfectly preserved condition a shelf.

I dusted it off and took it outside in the sun, placed it on this piece of driftwood and proceeded to take my time photographing it. It was very obliging and never moved.

Here is a SUPER mega macro of its eye that I think has a wonderful artistic tattoo looking print on it. Fyi, I used the macro lens plus held the 50mm prime in reverse on teh end to get this closeup.
