Japanese Malt Whisky
My first alcohol-related outing, post-baby. Went to Whisky Live with 5 vouchers, a smurf and a desire to sample a few. Starting with a 15yo Highland Park, sampled the following:
Yamazaki 15yo (nice)
Hakushu 10yo (bit sharp)
Glenlossie 10yo (gentle, slightly bland)
Benrinnes 15yo (liquorice, not my kind of thing)
Auchroisk 30yo non chill-filtered (lovely, and at 95 quid a bottle it should be)
Port Ellen 24yo (Islay heaven)
We were tempted to club in the three vouchers required to try the 50yo at one stand, but decided to spread our options.
This was the Japanese stand. Crap blip, I know.
