I spent today clearing out my belongings to sell on Gumtree, I'm not totally down on my luck, I just fancy shedding my old skin and starting anew, I'll be moving flat soon and quite like the idea of being able to move in a taxi if need be, two suitcases [one clothes, one personal bits and bobs], my laptop bag. Anyway, inside the cover of a copy of Down and Out in Paris and London I found this poem. I have no idea who wrote it, and wonder wether or not the friend who passed the book to me penned it, whatever its genesis, it seemed appropriate that I should stumble across it today as I try to start another chapter in my life, I hope you like the words...
