Shed, Cluny, Aberdeenshire
Not the Cluny in France with its magnificent abbey, but Cluny, Aberdeenshire: a small settlement with a village school of almost industrial appearance, a recently-restored granite milestone (of which more in a future blip), an isolated church and a mainly Victorian castle.
This fascinating timber shed sits in a field almost opposite one of the drives leading up to the castle. We've often driven past it in the eight years or so we've been lining in Aberdeenshire, and it seems to have been in more or less the same state of disrepair all this time. It's amazing it's still standing: here we see it with the cut-up remains of a tree branch that was brought down in the recent high winds.
