Moment in Time - Sumac
Saturday, September 25th. A day that had been marked in my calendar for months and for which there had been hours and hours of planning.
I have been coordinating the annual convention of the Ontario birder's club and this was the weekend. When birders go to a convention they get outside and look for birds. It's a great chance to learn about new places, meet old friends, make new ones and best of all to be outside exploring and observing. At times I felt that the world was so beautiful I could not contain it all.
We spent the afternoon making final arrangements for the banquet for 250 people. Despite all of the work, or maybe because of it, I feel filled with pride that I am giving something back. I'm giving myself a pat on the back for contributing to the fabric of society, or at least the part that matters to me.
A wonderful day.
