Fairies at the Bottom of the Garden

This is a fairy ring of toadstools outside our patio door. Several rings appeared after the heavy rain on Thursday and I had been keeping them in mind to blip.
Unfortunately someone has trashed the largest ring which leaves me with the next biggest.
I have been keeping my eye out for some fairies to appear beside them but the only ones I've seen anywhere near are of the human variety.

Speaking of humans, or what pass for humans, Middle Meadow Walk has become the meeting place for two large groups of men and women carrying bags of alcohol, who congregate with their dogs near the top end of the Walk from early morning to late afternoon.
They are loud, foul mouthed, dirty and drunk but seem for the moment to have immunity from being moved on by the police.
There are school children passing who really should not have to walk the gauntlet between these two groups on either side of the path.

His Lordship has been particularly annoyed by this and has spoken to the police, but I don't imagine for one nano second that they will think it worth their while to intervene. I imagine the colder weather may perhaps persuade these people to go elsewhere...... but where will that be? Hopefully not on your doorstep.

We are in limbo this morning awaiting a phone call to tell us our London cycling friends have arrived with their tent at Mortonhall camp site in Edinburgh, where we will pick them up and bring them to the Dower House for lunch and dinner.

They are here for 2 days before continuing up to Perth to meet up with another set of friends. I'm glad to say the weather has taken a turn for the better this morning and is dry and fairly mild. I hold out no hope for tomorrow. The weather map last night had turned the British isles in to a blue lake.
Oh dear, drying out wet tents is no fun at all.
