Feather

A dingy, overcast day in the Cotswolds and the landscape is dull. The shooting season is almost here and the fields are lively with newly released young pheasants, blissfully ignorant of what fate is about to befall most of them.

You can't walk without setting up a cackling and a fluttering - feathers litter the paths and today, this was one of the brightest things to be seen.
