BRINGING FLOWERS

In the US, when we go to friends for dinner, we bring a bottle of wine. Whenever French people come for lunch or dinner, they bring flowers. What a lovely custom! Today our friends brought a huge bunch of these gorgeous red gladioli (Is that the plural?).

It can be a bit tricky when guests arrive though. You need to kiss, seat them, get them a drink, and tend the flowers.

I'd say it's worth it...
