Freebies

It was the college's first 'Fresher's Fayre' today. A slightly surreal mix of balloon animals, caricaturists, jugglers and bouncy castles vied with Territorial Army and Royal Navy recruitment stands alongside energetic students working out on exercise bikes. No alcohol though (at least, none that I could find).

Whereas in the past some of the freebies handed out were useful things (to student types) such as condoms, I didn't see anything along those lines today. The nearest to that I suppose was this tall-lady-on-stilts-doing-interesting-things-with-balloons. Yep, they were definitely balloons. Not sure everyone was as impressed by this as others were from the looks it.

Good on the student union for organising the event, and it gave our students some excellent subject matter to get out and photograph.
