Lady Bracknell's Boudoir

Today we arrived in Cyprus from Israel and checked into our hotel in Nicosia for 4 nights.

Frequent stays bring customer rewards with hotel chains although sometimes room upgrades can have a hidden edge.

At check in we were told that our suite had been upgraded and we went to the elevator with a porter and our bags. He asked for our room number and when told it he said "Are you sure?!!!"

We showed him the key card cover - he continued to to looked surprised.

thus we arrived at the Honeymoon Suite - and as you can see it's a bit of an eyeful

The picture says it all - but I'd describe it as Laura Ashley meets Lady Bracknell ("A Handbag!!!!!!") and contains not just chintz but also formal chairs with camel head armrests and a decorative pierced wooden screen with carvings of Indian Gods in what look like saucy poses.

Well, I don't suppose newly weds spend much time looking at the decorations.
