Aberdeen's Hardest Pub...

... and rudest landlord according to Sky TV's series Britain's Toughest Pubs. Since seeing the episode I had to go look for the infamous Peep Peeps in the city's Commerce St. Bars 'doon the hairbour' have a reputation for being tough - the Fittie, the Neptune, the Moorings, the Schooner, were all names I had heard of and knew never to go near!

Chris the Landlord should have his own show! He is the most offensive, foul-mouthed creature I've ever seen, but what entertainment value!! The football casuals are even scared of him. No 'professional lady' dare enter Peep Peeps for risking the wrath of His Nibs, and if you want a leak, save it, there isn't a door or a roof on the loo! In fact, the toilet that Renton uses in Trainspotting is luxury in comparison!! But give the man a cigar, he's one of our city's few remaining characters. I don't know if the pub is still going, it looked all quiet around 3 this afternoon, but if the walls could talk!! (They'd probably sound like Rab C Nesbit!)
