Hanging Harrier

Staycation Day 3: trip to That London

Specifically to the Houses of Parliament for a (recommended) guided tour, and then to Tate Britain for various exhibitions - the photography of Eadweard Muybridge, "The Romantics" comparing Turner with his contemporaries, a general wander through the excellent permanent collection, a disturbing installation called "The Coral Reef", and this rather beautiful harrier jump jet, strung up like a piece of hanging game.

Tate Britain still heads the list of my favourite places in London. It's the sensible older brother to Tate Modern's excitable teenager; but still has some fun and adventure to it compared the staid and frumpy National Gallery.
