crazy patchwork

no time today, but friend suggested i blip her beautiful, worn patchwork throw. it carries so much history - it's probably at least 100 years old, & genuinely made from remnants of dressmaking. who made it? the worn & frayed parts are silk or velvet that has been eroded with use - what uses has it had - fascinating!
