Forget Town & Gown - this is more Hen & Old Men; we regulars, old duffers to a man, sought safety in numbers at one end of the common room in the Larkhall Inn this Friday night, staring open-mouthed and nervously as a hen party of young beauties - free, or at least double, spirits to a girl, gyrated and sang at the other end of the public bar.
