Granny's Cloak Moth

I found this moth at work today, we used to get a lot of these and as they are quite big, they grow up to about 75mm, if you walked into a dark room and put the light on they can give you a bit of a fright. Especially if you don't like things that fly around.

The moth is grey, with bands of darker grey and purple eyespots on the scalloped wings. It's actually very pretty, and it's a pity I didn't capture it's delicate wings.

Anyway, today has been a bit fraught, with a visit to see Christian's consultant. It's been decided to try yet another treatment, so we will be back on the treadmill of hospital visits. These appointments are always very trying as you never know what they are going to say. So by the end of the appointment, I am so emotionally drained that I feel very tired.

Still at least we have no appointments until next Wednesday, time to take a deep breath and re-group.
