Tiptoe through the Tulips!!
Today Tarsh and Ethan came with Spence and I to 'The Tesselaar Tulip Festival' in Silvan. The Festival runs for a month and it was Children's Day today! We got there just after it opened and already there were lots of people there.
We had a look through the tulip fields, went into the fairy garden, watched a man play a didgeridoo (an aboriginal musical instrument), patted a lizard, watched 'The Music Man' (a children's performer) perform some songs, looked at the dutch style windmills and the boys splashed in the puddles!
I took about 150 photos and have narrowed it down to three to put up today!! Here are some of the tulips and Spence and I! There were so many different coloured tulips, plus some daffodils and other flowers. The sun came out a couple of times and it was a bit chilly but it didn't rain!
So we all had a really nice day. At one stage Ethan, Tarsh and I were walking back up the path from the bottom of the tulip fields and Spence was lagging behind and wasn't coming when I was calling him. Ethan (who was being lovely and holding my hand as we walked) looked up at me and said 'i'll go and get him'! So off Ethan ran, back down the path to Spence. He took hold of Spencer's hand and then they walked back up the path to Tarsh and I hand in hand! It was so cute! These two 2 1/2 year old little boys holding hands as they walked towards us! A lady who was standing near Tarsh and I was watching them and said 'that is just the cutest thing'!
