Crimson
I've had my eye on this leaf for a few days now! The trees are changing colour rapidly and this little bush, a Gieulder rose (not sure if you spell it like that), is turning amazing colours. A lot of rain today as well so it's glistening nicely.
Wet, but enough dry spells for the wwoofers to finish most gardening jobs - the beds are weeded, dug over, manured and now covered in a generous layer of seaweed ready to be left until spring. The polytunnel is cleared, manured and washed down, and Vincent has also strimmed the hill - a mean achievement! They both leave on Saturday and we shall collapse and be slobby, for we are both exhausted as we work alongside them on and off, and work, and prepare large meals and do a lot of talking! We nearly had to offer an Argentinian wwoofer a place for the night as well but that has been resolved.
Talking of meals I now have to go an prepare something large and hearty and the cupboard is a bit bare - shopping day tomorrow. Sun-dried tomatoes, some chick peas, a bit of smelly cheese an some broccoli - time to be creative!
