That's some kind of impressive

Hubby stayed home from work today so we took an impromptu trip to Rosslyn Chapel. It was a lovely afternoon out of the city and the building and carvings were a pleasure to finally see. It's hard to get to grips with the amount of time and energy and devotion to their craft the men who made that place had to muster to get it done. Painstaking work, and I can't even manage to get a few more licks of paint on this flat. I am truly put to shame.

It's a shame too that you can't take pictures inside.
