One Hundred Stories
Andy and Abi have finally returned after a six-week journey around India, during which they attended the wedding of our mate Raj (in the centre of this shot) to a young lady named Nithya. Replete with reddened skins and many a Kiplingesque tale of the subcontinent, they've been great company tonight.
Andy finally achieved the rock-star status he'd been after for so long, when worshippers at a remote Hindu temple abruptly decided that he was Jesus, and began following him around hoping for an impromptu miracle-demonstration. Abi was a bit disappointed to find herself mostly ignored by the population of India (although as I pointed out, if you're tagging along with the reincarnation of Christ, you're always going to be playing second fiddle).
But most importantly, Raj got himself a fine young wife, and a wedding album full of cracking family pictures. And lo and behold, it turns out Raj's wife has got an eminently single sister, and her folks aren't too hard up. Could it be time to break my favourite tie out of the wardrobe, hire an elephant, and introduce myself to this crazy little thing called shaadii?
