Mount Torlesse

Because of the fast growing eucalypts a hundred metres away I can no longer see the whole of Mount Torlesse from my back lawn. I took this shot while I was out trying to get a nice view of a local creek with the willow leaves just opening. The creek is dry for much of the year. However, when I looked at my efforts I found the best shots were ruined by an ugly wire that could not be cloned out because it passes through the willows.

So here is the mountain. The three main peaks are from left- Rubicon, Back and Otarama. Like Castle Hill Peak, further south in the Torlesse Range, Rubicon and Otarama were named after the farms below them. As you can see the recent southerly didn't add to the snow at all.

Good in large.
