Chill

For the first time in ages, work was quite relaxed, although I did have to attend a meeting that led to losing two and a half hours of my life that I'll never get back.
I'm really looking forward to my week off next week - a time to chill out. Unfortunately, the weather seems to have taken a turn for the worse with a really cold wind blowing round the nether regions, so that every time I go outside for a fag my nads seize up and have to be thawed out. Time for the thermal long-johns I think.
While I was smoking, my thoughts turned to a really good film I saw at the weekend on the telly. It was called "Little Children" and had Kate Winslett as the lead. Before the film starts, the announcer on the telly solemly informs the viewer what you're letting yourself in for - such as "strong language from the very start" or "Fantasy violence". In this case, the bloke said the film dealt with "Mature themes".
I have to say that I thought we were in for frequent bouts of forgetfulness or even gratuitous reminiscing, but was happy to discover that they were referring simply to child molestation, marriage, affairs, w**king and underwear sniffing.

It was actually one of the most intelligent, well paced and thought provoking films I've seen in a long time.

..which was why I was thinking about it outside today.
