Book browsers and commuters

The sun was low while I waited for Fred at the National Theatre to cycle to a friend's drinks near London Bridge. I passed the time by snapping away at the various busy scenes around me. This shot of the folk under Waterloo Bridge where the book market is was more interesting than the guys setting up a National Basketball Association pitch outside the National Theatre. There are some games on this weekend and I think it's all free - I might head down there.

The drinks were fun - lots of interesting chat about books and business and London. It was great to meet new folk and those who Fred worked with a few years ago whom I hadn't met until now.

We had a fun cycle home in the dark through almost empty London streets. It made a change from this morning - bumper-to-bumper traffic all the way.
