Carved by nature?

Years ago we bought three ammonites in Morocco and it wasn't until we got back to the hotel did we realise that they had been hand carved! Iif you looked carefully enough you could spot the tell tale chisel marks!

Fortunately we didn't pay much for them (that should have been the give away!) and because of "man's" intervention I smile every time I look at them.
