Better Days

A fellow student took a picture of this boat last week and I thought it would make a good Blip. It's tied up in Carrickfergus harbour right beside the castle. When I say tied up, it literally kept afloat by the ropes and chains attached to the bollards, as it has sprung at least one leak, and isn't long for this world!

I'm was feeling a little like this boat looks today: knackered, haggard, unloved and unkempt. I think it would like to float off into the Lough to somewhere nice, but it hasn't got the freedom to do so...

Talking of freedom; I checked out the cost of flights to Japan last night. Looking at some of the Blips taken by Blippers out there, it appears to be a vibrant and very colourful place to be. It's a country I've always wanted to see. I doubt it will happen though. This boat and I will continue to be restrained by circumstances and conditions.
