Haiku
These were bought for me by number two son aren't they beautiful.
I love the smell of Chrysanthemums and they always make me think of Autumn.
The season's change also makes me think of Haiku and so I offer a poetic nod to the shifting mood of the year.
Haiku Year
A yellow trumpet for spring
The thrush sings her joy
Juicy worms for chicks in her beak
Metallic green dragonflies
Shimmering lazily
On a white waterlily
Round orange harvest moon
I fill my skirts with
Yellow windfall Crabapples
Scarlet berries embellish
The thorny frost rimmed
Dark and glossy leaves of Holly
