Bath in a Sink

4 months old (17 weeks + 4)

We woke up to a blanket of snow today. Again. But this one we hadn't really expected to hit us. Half the family set out to church before it got heavy. They rang and told the second half (including Katie and I) not to bother. So we didn't. And I have to admit it was a relief - by now I was feeling rather rotten and unable to speak or swallow.

But the snow did bring Katie's first - very gentle - snowball fight. She loved watching the children playing. And also loved watching the snow from the huge window ledge in our room.

This is Katie in her 'bath', with her new 'bath toys'. The cousins were so excited by the whole thing that they felt it had to be captured on camera, they were probably right... so here's Katie, being washed up, before the dishes were, and playing with a banana guard!

Katie at 4 months
*is getting very good at sitting on her own
*enjoys playing in her bumbo
*is settled into a proper routine of 3 day time sleeps, including an hour-long morning sleep
*wants to stand up
*really loves her jumperoo time - on the yellow pages
*has discovered, and is fascinated by, her hand
*is beginning to outgrow her moses basket because she's such a wriggler

Firsts:
*Train ride
*snowball fight
*trip to the play cafe
*house move
*trip to starbucks

She likes:
*her morning routine - naked time, mobile time, jumperoo/cousins time
*sitting on the table whilst mummy has meals.
*filling her nappy whilst sitting on the table - not popular with the cousins
*row row the boat

She dislikes:
*going to bed after 6pm
*not yet being able to stand on her own!
