Perast
Just back from a fortnight in Croatia/Montenegro - hence complete lack of postings in that time (even if i had considered bringing my laptop to be a good idea, there was almost no wireless to hook it up to!)
I will upload a few bits and pieces from my time but i think i'd bore the entire community to put up 14 consecutive entries!
This was from my first night in Montenegro - a tiny village called Perast, a small Venetian-era fishing village with decaying palazzos and a surefit of tiny chapels - absolutely beautiful. It looks out over the Bay of Kotor, which resembles a fjord but is really a (very) flooded riverbed - but gorgeous all the same. Directly in front of Perast, a few hundred yards into the water lie two small islets which are only big enough to hold a small chapel each, which during the day have small motorboats transporting tourists out to them, are lit up at night to add to the overall vista.
