Junior Epee Nationals

It's the fencing national championships for junior epee today. We are lucky it is in Sheffield, so no travelling involved, and Junior NoodlePix is lucky as I was able to pop down with his food bag which he had left at home.

I saw him fence the first part of the competition (the poules) and he won 5 out of his six fights which means he will be highly ranked going into the knock out stage of the competition.

He is having a lovely time as always amongst his fencing peers; he gets along well with most of them, and lots of them seem to look up to him. He has such confidence now not only in fencing circles, but most aspects of life, which is great when you look back and remember it wasn't always like that. In the early competitions he would sit trembling on your knee all day!
