Lochrin Basin

This was taken just at the Leamington Lift Bridge on the Union Canal in Edinburgh. I swung by there when driving past to see if I could get a picture of the bridge itself but was taken by the reflections on the water. I thought that this would make a nice colourful blip for today!

I like how the reflections are so strong at this low-down angle and how the colours of the barge on the left hand side of the shot are mirrored so nicely in the canal. I also like how you can see such different buildings in the surroundings, ranging from old industrial units on the left to new houses, office blocks and bars etc.

The reflections are my favourite bit but I think I would have liked to make more of the sky if I had more time to spend getting the exposure right!
