making each day stand out

view from Mount Philo

Today I woke up at 8am. I got ready and went downstairs for breakfast cooked by Zita. She made delicious cheese blintzes with blueberries and sour cream. What a great way to start my day! Then I got ready and packed up. Sadly we were leaving our B& B. After checking out we went hiking up Mt. Philo (968'). It was the first Vermont State Park in 1924. It had breathtaking views of the Lake Champlain Valley and New York's Adirondack Mountains. The hike was difficult and steep, but I pushed through until I reached the summit. After hiking back down we stopped for lunch. I had a great vegetarian sandwich with hummus and roasted tomato chutney. Then we went to a wine tasting at Shelburne Vineyard. Then we did the last thing on our revised list for today - we went to Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, so Maria could buy some coffee to take back. Then we drove back to Boston. We did a lot in less than 48 hours.
