Baking day!

We had promised our daughter and her friend a morning trip to the cinema ('the pictures', as I still think of it!). We saw The Diary of a Wimpy Kid - very funny.

I got the cook books out and tried something new, Dauphinoise Potatoes. The dish turned out really well, as it tasted great and even looked like the book's illustration!

I got the worst task of the day over - ironing school uniforms, then got the cook book out again.

I hardly ever bake, except for apple crumble, and this is the second time in a fortnight that I've made a cake!!!

It tasted alright, too!!!!!
