M6 Sunset

We travelled up to Manchester from Somerset today for my niece's 21st birthday party tomorrow and to say the traffic on the motorway was horrendous is a bit of an understatement. Severely hampered by the rotten weather what should have been a four and half hour journey actually took us nearly eight which did nothing to improve my mood (especially as I was travelling with a hubbie with road rage, a stroppy teenager and an energetic two year old who hates sitting still for too long). Finally travelling along the M6 at a fairly decent speed after stopping and starting for hours, when we came to a standstill for the umpteenth time, I was just about to rant again when I spotted this glorious view from my window. The Northern skyline is definately at its best bathed in early evening light as the sun is setting so today I am sharing this with you.
