Urbane

This dispute regarding a shop licence being granted in the town centre or not, and the brewing argument over moving the tram lines in the Port nearer to the shops (why?) pales into insignificance after the news from my step daughter today. She is currently on a study term in Sheffield and visited some caves (don't know which yet) today. Apparently, they had to abandon the boat, babies and the elderly included, and wade, swim and crawl their way out. No one was injured it seems, but at one point Anna was in up to her neck. No one panicked, and the local villagers arrived with tea. She is very shaken, but at a distance we are just relieved to hear she's alright. I can't see any reference yet on the web.

Any other ramblings I have simply aren't worth the space. Anna, thank heavens you're o.k., and we love you so much xxx
