Playing Cards

I still collect packs of playing cards, but not as avidly as I used to.

I was looking through my collection to see what I could blip and a friend phoned up. I pulled out this pack of Nile Fortune Cards* and talked him through choosing one. He wriggled and squirmed, saying he didn't like looking into the future. But he was pleased with the outcome, the Ace of Hearts!

* these Nile Fortune Cards were made by the U.S. Playing Card Co. in Cincinnati. They are still going strong and they make the cards that are seen a lot on movies, the Bicycle Deck. Cards by them are still my favourites.
