Burj Khalifa

This is the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world by some distance, taken from near Safa Park just after I'd been out jogging. This building was to be named Burj Dubai but was mysteriously renamed on the night of the opening. Some cynics have suggested it may have had something to do with the loan of $10bn to Dubai from Sheikh Khalifa of Abu Dhabi...

This is not the best place to photograph it from but it was the best I could do at the time. I'll try and get back there another time to get a better angle. I also want to go back up to the top again - last time I forgot my memory card (not the first time!)!
