Blue Monty
There's nothing better than vegging out on a comfy sofa on a Sunday and letting the atmosphere of a huge event like the Ryder Cup take over. Especially when it goes right down to the wire like this one.
Except this one went on to Monday. And there was no comfy couch.
So, there was a bit of ducking and diving required to keep up with Welsh goings-on as it went from being a nice walk in the park for Europe to an almost spectacular comeback from the USA. In the end it came down to the very last match and the steely nerve of Graeme McDowell to snatch the last point to regain the Ryder Cup; and to put a rare big grin on curmudgeonly Colin's face. Well done Mrs. Doubtfire!
Using the mobile TV player over a 3G connection wasn't the best way to savour this though and, inevitably, at the crucial moment the thing stalled. By the time I got it going again the Europeans were all jumping around like dafties and the fat lady was well into her first verse.
Good telly and a great sporting event. If you're not American of course.
