The formal dining room, The Mount, Lenox, MA

I love this room in Edith Wharton's Berkshire cottage. None of the pieces appeared to be original (especially the fire extinguisher in the corner!). I love the ornate decor. I learned eavesdropping on the tour that Edith had small, round tables and invited a maximum of 4 guests to dine with her and her hubby.
