These elastic band things are everywhere. I saw this one (plus a few other crumpled ones) just outside the Académie royale de Musique. It was pissing with rain and people looked at me funny because they were all taking pics of this amazing building, and I was crouching on the ground taking different shots of the floor....

Finally started a language course today, interestingly sat next to a nun, which shows the random mix of people in the class!

Nice day, apart from the weather though. It was weirdly warm... Coming from Edinburgh, I'm not used to being warm in October!
