Freshers Week at the university, and amidst the gloriously flaming foliage, a new batch of largely clueless eighteen-year-olds are persuaded to part with their money in exchange for various products, mostly of the alcoholic variety. Every year the marketing gimmicks get a bit more outlandish, and indeed, near the centre of this shot you'll see a bloke in a full red body-stocking teaching a group of youngsters all they'll ever need to know about vodka. Elsewhere was someone clad in a bear-suit for no good reason that I could discern, and I even came across someone dressed in a police uniform. In my typically direct Midland style, I asked the latter "What the fuck am yow advertising?"

Thankfully, the officers of Lancashire County Constabulary have a functioning sense of humour.
