Tamarack

Deciduous conifers that live happily in bogs and swamps, these are such remarkable trees. This one and its companions are living in a city park near the river, in an area not boggy at all. The fine dropped needles are pooling below them and drifting against nearby lawn and sidewalk edges.

It reminded me a bit of the Golden Retriever hair in the corners at home.
