whitianga Ferry

This is the ferry that takes us from Ferry Landing to Whitianga on the other side of the river if we want to have some action in the local township. It is a 45 minute very wiggly road if you want to drive around the long way to "town". This is a magic experience, a deafening juddering shuddering diesel motor takes you over in about 3 minutes and you sit all crammed up with the other passengers. It does run continuously, apart from the dinner break from 6.30-7.30 and then the drink at the pub break from 8.30-9.30 and then the bedtime break at 10.30 until the morning. I love it and we use it to access the library, the chemists or whatever, maybe a flash lunch in a cafe, but we also love that we live on the other side and dont have to have "town" at home.
One more sleep and have to go home. Not looking forward to it. No home actually to go back to, but having to go home and move into a rental property while our house is in limbo land. Ah well, tomorrows trouble, one more day in paradise...
