do you think it is too late?

This weedy sunflower is just not happening! It has been like this for weeks and while it is still getting sun on it, there seems to be no sign of the bud opening out.

As we now have the fire on in the evenings and
my son has stopped wearing shorts to school and
I have started wearing socks and
Sienna has new winter boots...

maybe the odds are stacked against it to ever flower - oh dear!
