Fractal Flowers
Part of an art installation on an urban renewal project in Seoul. This stream was once covered over - it became a pretty major road, then they tore it down, and created this little urban oasis. It is really quite special here - there are walls that you are invited to graffiti (they give you chalk), there are floating foil fish, there is music, and there is light.
This part is called 'Fractal Flowers', and runs for a few hours each night. The 'flowers' grow, and sway in the wind, alongside calming music. I think we sat here for about 30 minutes watching them in the dusk.
Seoul is such a bustling place, so busy, and full of neon craziness, and then you come here, drop down 6 or 7 feet to the side of this idyllic stream, and it all disappears. Magic.
