favorite places

lucky was i this week to find myself invited to a meeting at one of my favorite places in michigan. the university of michigan biological station. a last minute opportunity i couldnt see any reason to turn down.

and as there was little traffic, i arrived just early enough to take a short stroll down the lakeshore. surely ive posted a photo similar to this one in the past, but the emerging fall colors and bright leaves floating in the water give this shot its own look.
