Climbing

I sneaked off at training today and took my camera for a walk around the closed down american airbase. It shut down only a few years ago but it looks as if it has been empty for deacdes. There are many, many long huts lined up in rows along roads with names like 'Homestead Way'. They would have housed offices, social areas, classrooms, daycare etc, and now they are all derelict - every window is smashed and most of the doors are hanging off, all the paint has peeled away from the walls. There is still a supermarket complete with checkouts all lined up for the ghostly customers.

This is the climbing frame outside one of the huts. It's warped and rusted and has a tree growing through the middle of it.

I got a bit spooked! That's why the composition is so dodgy!
