bemba

so, these are some of the bemba phrases that i'm trying to learn. they're stuck up on my wall in the hope that i will read them often and will start to remember them. not much luck so far. i did pick up a bemba lady in the car the other day and managed:

'Good Morning! How are you? Where are you going?'

she responded with a load of very fast bemba sentences! All I could respond was 'I'm just learning Bemba' (in bemba) which then bought the conversation nicely into English. should I give up?!
