Big tug, Bigger Crane
Anchorhandling at the Angostura Field offshore Trinidad is quite challenging (to use a modern office word) Steering with a tug in a strong current is a piece of cake, but when the crane transfers the weight of a 22 Ton Flipper Delta on your stern connected with a three inch steelwire, it is something different. Then it becomes a struggle with the current and wind. But after a long session, the Retriever and the Husky managed to run all twelve anchors and six midline buoys as well. Here you see the port crane of the Hermod dropping a pennant buoy on the stern of the Retriever, this buoy is connected with a pennant wire to one side of the anchor while the anchor wire is connected to the other side and to the Hermod winch, simple system, foolproof.
