Laura and I ate a little and had some coffee/tea at Grumpy's in Tremont before going to the "Broken Social Scene presents Kevin Drew's Spirit If" concert downtown. I had been trying to get to Grumpy's for months to see some art by a guy I know from work there. His stuff was great, although his prints were dramatically underpriced. Grumpy's was ok - their menu was pretty deficient, but the one or two non-meat items they had were really fantastic.

The concert was kind of weird. Artists are weird people. But Brendan Canning (the BSS founder that isn't Kevin Drew) seems like an awesome guy. Kevin Drew can do no wrong with me, since he (with Canning, and to a lesser extent about 25 other people) have given the world the twin gifts of You Forgot it In People and 7/4 (Shoreline).

Oh yeah, and he and five other guys specifically gave me and a couple hundred Clevelanders the gift of that Stars and Sons on Friday.
